Having
expressed an interest in the visual arts at an early age,
Kristy Kapturowski pursued a BFA from the University at
Buffalo, concentrating in illustration. However,
with an eagerness to experiment beyond traditional materials
and mediums, Kristy sought out additional coursework in
film, video production, editing and animation. She also
spent her 5 university years studying music performance,
with a focus on voice in operatic and contemporary repertoire.
Throughout her singing career at UB, Kristy also had the
opportunity to perform in many theatrical productions. Her
creative background enabled her to contribute to these performances
in the areas of costume and set design. With a broad and
versatile background in the arts, Kristy graduated with
the intention of adapting her talents into an ambitious
career. She spent several years employed as a production
artist for a Buffalo printing company and later moved into
a position for a commercial website, specializing in invitation
and stationery retail. Kristy quickly adjusted to her role
as a customer service representative with additional responsibilities
in product photography, marketing and web maintenance. Soon
thereafter, Kristy launched her own design studio and website,
www.klkmultimedia.com. She now enjoys freelancing in her
spare time as a multimedia & graphic artist. Most recently,
Kristy has relocated to NYC to more aggressively pursue
her career in the arts.
